This kit contains all parts necessary to bypass the Atari 5200 4-port auto switchbox. Theory and circuit modifications are on the Atari 5200 wiki page.
The new DC jack is sized for use with the original 5200 power supply.
This kit also includes replacement caps for the styrene audio caps. These may be styrene type or ceramic when styrene are not available.
With this modification in place, a conventional switch box or direct RF adapter can be used with the 4 port Atari 5200. We carry a few different direct RF adapters if needed, please see the related products!
Power jack matches original 2.5mm x 5.5mm and requires 27/64" (11mm) drill bit for installation.
