December 2024 Build Notes:
Short, non-polar caps with obsolete values 0.47uF, 1uF, 10uF, 4.7uF and 22uF are now full-size, to be installed on their side
Note that due to the size and labor required to assemble and support, progressive discounts are not applicable to this kit.
This gargantuan 200+ piece kit contains all specialized electrolytic capacitors (large, small, nonpolar) used in the Pioneer Laseractive CLD-A100 LaserDisc Player (and probably the PCE-LD1 NEC LaserDisc player as well).
This is the final boss battle of cap kits! Once installed, your CLD-A100 will likely need adjustments - please be sure to familiarize yourself with the service manual procedures for doing so.
These kits are based on 2 separate CLD-A100 players along with the service manual parts listing. There may be undocumented hardware revisions floating out there! If so, please let us know during the install and we will work with you to document these revisions and send along any necessary parts.
